This blog is your chance to converse with your classmates about what you read this summer and what new ideas you may have gained from the titles you selected.
The best comments will show your original thinking about the literature but remember there are no "right answers" here. Use this blog to make comments about the two books you read other than The Giver. Each student should make at least two posts, one for each book you read. Your comments can be insights, questions, and observations about characters, themes, content or even writing style. Anything that strikes you as significant or noteworthy is worth posting. I would rather you "go deep" rather than say something broad and general. It is perfectly acceptable to create a conversation by responding to a posting by another student who read the same book. This is a school assignment so be sure to keep your comments appropriate and academic. Most posts are approximately 4-7 sentences.
Your posts will be evaluated as one piece of your summer reading assessment. Important Tip: You must log into your gmail account and then go to the blog. If you have done this correctly, your name will appear in the URL name space. Hit"publish" only when you are definitely ready to post it. Once you hit "publish" your post is done. I look forward to reading your thoughtful reactions. Once you have read these directions, you should go to a posting for one of the books you read and start your first comment. Happy blogging!
